Alternatively, there are also connections from Nausori International Airport (SUV) near Suva, with a flight time of about 45 minutes. Savusavu Airport (SVU) is located only about 2 kilometers from the town center and can be reached quickly via taxis or hotel shuttles. Another option is the combination of bus and ferry from Suva via Natovi and Nabouwalu to Savu Savu, a daytime connection with a shorter sea crossing of 2.5 to 4.5 hours, followed by an approximate two-hour drive from Nabouwalu to Savu Savu. Local buses in Savu Savu are an affordable and authentic way to explore the coast, while taxis are available for individual trips to more distant destinations.
