Adelaide welcomes cruise guests at the modern Outer Harbor Passenger Terminal, located on the Le Fevre Peninsula approximately 25 kilometers northwest of the city center. Thanks to the excellent infrastructure, the terminal is easily and directly accessible from both the airport and the city center.

Airplane

Adelaide Airport (ADL) is the central arrival point for travelers from the DACH region and is served with only one stopover via hubs such as Dubai, Doha, or Singapore. From the airport, you can reach the terminal at Outer Harbor in about 30 to 40 minutes by taxi or a rideshare service; additionally, many cruise lines offer organized shuttle transfers for a worry-free arrival.

Train

A special feature of the port is its immediate proximity to the Outer Harbor Railway Station, which is located just 150 meters from the terminal building. Trains on the Outer Harbor Line run regularly from the main station in the city center (Adelaide Railway Station) and offer guests a cost-effective and relaxed way to enjoy the approximately 40-minute journey directly to the ship.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long journey from Europe and the time difference, an overnight stay before embarkation is highly recommended to start the cruise well-rested. Hotels in the city center or the charming seaside suburb of Glenelg provide ideal starting points for exploration; furthermore, thanks to the good connections, the stay can be perfectly combined with an excursion to the nearby wine regions of the Barossa Valley.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and the notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
