In Ilhabela, going ashore is convenient via tender boat, which takes you directly to the charming historic center of Vila. From here, many of the island's highlights are easily accessible thanks to the central location of the pier.

Taxi
Taxis are available at marked stands at Praça Coronel Julião right in the heart of Vila, as well as at major beach sections such as Praia do Curral. Drivers will take you quickly back to the central meeting point at the harbor pier, and fares are transparently calculable thanks to official rates.
Public Bus
Local buses run regularly along the main road and stop at the Vila station in the immediate vicinity of the ship's landing stage. Look for the Vila sign on the front of the bus to return easily and safely to the starting point from all directions on the island.
On Foot
Within the historic center of Vila, you can easily reach the Pier da Vila via the busy waterfront promenade and well-maintained footpaths. Thanks to the central location of the prominent wooden pier, the way is easy to find at any time and also leads past many landmarks such as the church of Nossa Senhora d’Ajuda.
