The Port of Doha, with its modern Grand Cruise Terminal, is centrally located on the Corniche and offers excellent connections to the infrastructure of the Qatari capital. Thanks to its immediate proximity to the city center and the international airport, embarkation is particularly convenient for guests from the DACH region.

Airplane

Hamad International Airport (DOH) serves as a central hub and is served by direct flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich several times a day. The Grand Cruise Terminal is located only 15 kilometers from the airport and is easily accessible via the Ras Abu Aboud Expressway in about 20 minutes by car.

Transfer & Taxi

From the airport and the city center, travelers can easily reach the terminal building in the Doha Old Port by taxi, Uber, or the local Karwa driving service. In addition, the modern Doha Metro Gold Line to the Souq Waqif station offers a fast connection near the port, from where short transfer routes lead to check-in.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the flight duration from Europe, we recommend arriving one day before the cruise and staying overnight in nearby hotels at Souq Waqif or in West Bay. Many first-class accommodations are located in the immediate vicinity of the Corniche and, thanks to short distances, allow for a relaxed start to your vacation directly on the Persian Gulf.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and bear in mind that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The following also applies during the journey: For shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always observe the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
