Alternatively, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is often used, which is about 150 kilometers away and can be reached via the E11 highway in around 90 minutes driving time.

From Abu Dhabi Airport, you can reach the terminal in the Mina Zayed district in about 30 minutes by taxi or private transfer. The official yellow taxis are inexpensive and use meters; in addition, modern ride-hailing services such as Uber or Careem are available. For travelers arriving via Dubai, many cruise lines offer special bus shuttles that head directly to the terminals via the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12).

Silver taxis are available at all major sights such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi as well as in front of the main entrances of the Marina Mall and the Abu Dhabi Mall.
