Mataveri International Airport (IPC) is located only about two kilometers from the port and serves as the gateway to Easter Island. Transfer & Shuttle

Thanks to the short distance, you can reach the Hangaroa harbor basin from the island's airport in less than ten minutes by taxi or private transfer. Returning to the ship

The return journey to the port of Hangaroa is very relaxed and safe, thanks to the compact size of the town and the warm hospitality of the locals.

Taxi

Taxis are easily found along the main street Atamu Tekena as well as at the central craft market Mercado Artesanal in the town center. Additionally, staff in local cafes or hotels will call a car for you directly, ensuring you reach the tender boat pier punctually and comfortably.

On Foot

The walk from the town center to the port of Hanga Piko simply follows the sea and offers wonderful views of the coastal landscape and the first Moai statues. Thanks to the clear orientation along the shore road Policarpo Toro, you will reach the pier safely and directly in about 15 to 20 minutes.

Tour Shuttles and Transfers

Local tour operators return their guests directly to the harbor basin after excursions, allowing for a smooth transition back to the ship.
