The port of Victoria on Mahé is the maritime heart of the Seychelles and, thanks to the short distances on the main island, is excellently developed for international guests. The ships dock at Mahe Quay, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the city center and the ferry terminal for island hopping.

Airplane

Guests from the DACH region reach the Seychelles via Seychelles International Airport (SEZ), located approximately 10 kilometers south of the port. Convenient direct connections are available from Frankfurt with Condor; additionally, airlines such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, or Etihad Airways offer regular flights to Mahé via their respective hubs.

Transfer & Taxi

The drive from the airport to the cruise terminal via the coastal East Coast Road takes only 15 to 20 minutes. Licensed taxis are available directly in front of the arrivals hall; furthermore, many cruise lines organize comfortable shared transfers that take you and your luggage directly to the check-in at Mahe Quay.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the flight duration of over ten hours and the time difference, arriving at least one day before embarkation is recommended. Taxi

Official taxis are available for you directly at the exit of the port area. These allow for flexible onward travel to famous beaches such as Beau Vallon and are also the ideal choice for individual island tours across the entire main island.

SPTC Buses

The blue public buses of the Seychelles Public Transport Corporation stop near the terminal and offer an authentic connection to all parts of the island. Thanks to the dense route network and the central bus station in the city, you can reach almost any destination on Mahé from here in a very affordable way.

Highlights & Districts

Returning to Mahe Quay is very relaxed and safe thanks to the short distances in Victoria. Plan only a small buffer for the return trip from the center or the beaches to ensure you are back on board your ship on time.

Taxi

Taxis are available at any time at central locations such as the Clock Tower (Lorloz), the Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market, and in front of the major resorts on Beau Vallon beach. Drivers will take you comfortably directly to the harbor entrance at Mahe Quay, and prices can also be easily fixed before departure.

Shuttle and Bus

Many cruise lines offer organized shuttle buses that run regularly between the city center near Independence Avenue and the terminal. In addition, the blue SPTC public buses run reliably to the central bus terminal in Palm Street, from where you can reach the port area quickly and easily.

On Foot

From the city center, you can walk back to Port Victoria in about twenty minutes via Latanier Road. Thanks to the flat route, the way is easy to find and leads you safely to the guarded main gate of the port area.

Beau Vallon Beach

The picturesque Beau Vallon Beach is easily accessible from the Port of Victoria in about fifteen minutes by taxi and impresses with its soft, light sand as well as its calm, turquoise waters. On Foot

The walk from the city center to the port takes about 15 to 20 minutes and leads flat along Latanier Road directly to Mahé Quay. Orientation is easy thanks to the prominent signage, and the path is pleasant to manage due to the manageable size of Victoria and the presence of local security forces.
