It is best to start your tour early in the morning to enjoy the special silence of the Arctic scenery, and plan to return to the tender boat no later than sixty minutes before departure.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the port of Qaqortoq is extremely straightforward thanks to the compact size of the city, leaving you plenty of time for last-minute discoveries.

On Foot

Most attractions are located in the immediate vicinity of the harbor basin, and you can easily walk back to the pier via paved paths. Simply orient yourself by the central square with the prominent Mindebrønden fountain, from where the tender pier is only a few steps away and clearly visible to every guest.

Taxi

For the return journey from higher viewpoints or after longer hikes, you can find local taxis at the central square or directly in front of the Brugseni supermarket. The drivers are well-acquainted with the ships' berthing times and will bring you back to the port area safely and punctually within a few minutes.

Tender Boats

Since Qaqortoq is a tender port, the boats depart regularly from the central wooden pier in the city center and bring you quickly back to your ship.
