Due to the necessary onward journey to the port of Piraeus and the ferry crossing, it is recommended—especially for long-haul flights—to arrive at least one day before the planned embarkation.
Transfer and Ferry
From Athens Airport (ATH), you can easily reach the ferry port of Piraeus, the starting point for crossings to Hydra. The Metro (Blue Line 3) provides a direct connection to Piraeus station (Dimotiko Theatro Station), which is just a short walk from the ferry pier and has a travel time of about 60-70 minutes. Alternatively, the X96 express bus runs 24/7 between the airport and Piraeus, with a travel time of approximately 90 minutes depending on traffic.
