The modern Greenock Ocean Terminal offers a central location directly on the River Clyde and enables comfortable embarkation processing.

Airplane

Glasgow International Airport (GLA) is located only about 30 kilometers from the port and is regularly served by major hubs such as Frankfurt, Munich, or Zurich. The onward journey to the terminal is quick, taking approximately 30 to 40 minutes by taxi, rental car, or via the organized transfer services provided by the cruise lines.

Train

There are frequent connections from Glasgow Central Station to Greenock Central Station, which is located just a few hundred meters from the harbor entrance. The journey takes just under 40 minutes and offers travelers their first views of the Scottish landscape, while the short transfer from the station to the ship is easily possible on foot or by short taxi ride.

Official taxis wait for passengers directly at the exit of the port terminal. Drivers will take you quickly to nearby sights or to the local train stations, and also offer individual tours into the Scottish Highlands.

Train Connections

The Greenock Central and Greenock West train stations are within a short distance on foot or by taxi and offer excellent connections. Frequent trains run from there, taking you directly to the center of Glasgow in around 40 minutes while offering beautiful views of the coastal landscape.

Returning to the ship

The journey back to the Greenock Ocean Terminal is very straightforward and relaxed thanks to the port's central location. Since the city center directly borders the port grounds, you will always reach your ship punctually and safely.

On Foot

The walk from Greenock city center or the Oak Mall Shopping Centre takes about ten minutes directly back to the guarded terminal building. The path is excellently signposted and runs along level streets, allowing you to enjoy the maritime atmosphere of the waterfront promenade until the very end.

Taxi and Local Traffic

Taxis can be found conveniently at the central taxi ranks on Cathcart Street and in front of the main entrance of the Oak Mall. Local providers are also available at Greenock Central and Greenock West stations and will take you safely to the ship's entrance in a few minutes; you can simply ask for the fare in advance.

Regional Train Services
