Eberswalde is a charming port for river cruises in Brandenburg and, thanks to its location northeast of Berlin, is excellently connected to the German transport network. The berths for river cruise ships are centrally located on the Finowkanal or in the Messingwerkhafen, ensuring convenient accessibility.

Car

Getting to Eberswalde is comfortable thanks to good motorway connections. From the direction of Berlin or Prenzlau, take the A11 to the Finowfurt exit and then follow the B167 directly to Eberswalde. Alternatively, the B2 leads into the city from the direction of Bernau or Schwedt. Free parking is available on the outskirts of the city, and a parking guidance system makes orientation easier. In addition, there are central and inexpensive parking options such as the Finowkanal car park in Bergerstraße, which can be used for a maximum of 2.50 euros per day. For flexible short-term parkers, mobile parking via the Parkster app is also possible.

Train

Eberswalde Hauptbahnhof is excellently integrated into the rail network and is located on the RE3 route between Berlin and Stralsund. With two connections per hour, you can reach Eberswalde from Berlin Hauptbahnhof in around half an hour. From the station, you can easily reach the city centre and the river cruise berths by bus – for example with the trolleybus lines 861 and 862 – or by taxi. The main station itself is also barrier-free and has lifts to all platforms.

Airplane

The nearest airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), which is approximately 56 kilometres from Eberswalde. The train offers a direct and fast transfer option: from BER Airport, trains run directly to Eberswalde Hauptbahnhof, with a journey time of about 1 hour and 5 minutes. Ticket prices are usually between 15 and 23 euros. Alternatively, various taxi and private transfer services are available from BER to take you comfortably to the embarkation point.

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Returning to the ship

Returning to your berth on the Finowkanal or the Oder-Havel-Kanal is very convenient and safe thanks to the short distances and the clear city structure.

Trolleybus (O-Bus)
