Ideally, visit the courtyards in the late morning to enjoy the special flair in peace and quiet, and plan your return journey to the ship about thirty minutes before departure.
The way back from the historic Reformation sites to the docking points on the Elbe is very easy and safe thanks to the short distances. Plan about ten minutes for the walk back to the ship to enjoy the atmosphere on the riverbank in a relaxed manner.
On Foot
Most docking points are in the immediate vicinity of the old town and are easily accessible on foot from the Schlosskirche or the Marktplatz. The path is signposted throughout and leads you directly across the well-maintained river promenade back to your ship.
Taxi
Taxis are reliably available at the central stands at the Marktplatz and the main railway station and will take you to the port in a very short time. You can also conveniently order rides through the receptions of large hotels such as the Luther-Hotel in Neustraße.
Shuttle and Local Transport
If your ship is moored at docking points slightly outside the center, such as the Kuhlache, use the local bus connections from the bus station. In addition, many operators offer their own shuttle services that pick you up directly at the sights and transport you safely back to the terminal.
