Train
Middelburg station is excellently integrated into the Dutch railway network and is located on the Roosendaal–Vlissingen line. Intercity trains run hourly and offer convenient connections to Amsterdam and Roosendaal, among others. From Germany, Middelburg can be reached from Cologne, for example, in approximately 4.5 hours with several transfers. The station is located southeast of the city center and can be reached from there via the station bridge in just over 5 minutes on foot from the center and thus also from the pier. Taxis and local bus lines are available at the station forecourt.
Airplane
For international guests from the DACH region, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) and Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) are ideal for arrival. Schiphol is approximately 143 kilometers away and can be easily reached by train in around 2 hours 38 minutes (with a transfer, e.g., in Rotterdam Centraal). A car journey takes about 1 hour 51 minutes. From Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM), which is approximately 93 road kilometers away, you can reach Middelburg by car in about 1 hour 18 minutes. The train journey including transfers takes around 2 hours 26 minutes from there. Numerous private transfer services from both airports also offer a stress-free and direct journey to Middelburg.

Official taxis can be found at the stand directly at Middelburg station, which is located on the opposite side of the canal. At the same time, the station serves as a central hub offering ideal connections with the regional Connexxion buses and trains for excursions throughout the Zeeland region.

The way back to the berth in Middelburg is very relaxed and safe thanks to the compact city structure and excellent transport links.
On Foot
From the central market square with its striking town hall, it is a comfortable ten to fifteen minute walk back to the moorings at Loshof or Maisbaai. The paths through the historic old town are evenly paved, and thanks to the visible landmark of the Langer Jan church tower, you can easily find your way at any time.
Taxi
Central taxi stands can be found directly at Middelburg station and at the edge of the market square, guaranteeing a quick return to the ship. In addition, staff at larger hotels such as Hotel De Nieuwe Doelen are happy to help you order a car, and you can reach the port areas in just a few minutes' drive.
Train and Shuttle
If your ship is docked in the neighboring port of Vlissingen, take the regular Dutch national railway trains from Middelburg station for a short seven-minute journey to Vlissingen station. From there, well-signposted paths lead directly to the cruise line shuttle buses or to local taxis for a comfortable transfer to the terminal.
