It is best to visit the harbor in the morning to make the most of the peaceful atmosphere and the photogenic setting, and return to the central square "Roode Steen" in the early afternoon to get back to the ship relaxed and on time.
Returning to your ship in the picturesque port of Hoorn is particularly relaxed thanks to the short distances and the clear city structure. You can easily reach the docking points at Oostereiland or along the Parkkade within a few minutes from the historic center.
On Foot
From the central market square Roode Steen, take a short stroll directly through the charming alleys back to the harbor basin. The path is easy to find thanks to prominent historic buildings like the Hoofdtoren and is also very safe and pleasant to walk.
Taxi
Taxis are available at Hoorn station and can also be easily requested from hotels such as Hotel de Magneet or directly from the restaurants at the harbor. The short distances within the city ensure a quick and punctual return to the docking points at Julianapark or Oostereiland.
Water Taxi and Bus
The Watertaxi Hoorn offers a charming option and will take you directly from various docking points in the city back to your berth upon request. Additionally, local bus lines 14 and 15 stop at the Gedempte Appelmarkt station in the immediate vicinity of the port, allowing for a comfortable return journey to the ship.
