Many cruise lines also organize their own shuttle services, which take you directly from the airport to the embarkation terminal.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the international travel and transfer time, an overnight stay in Bucharest on the day before your cruise is recommended. This allows you to arrive relaxed, discover the Romanian capital, and reach the port comfortably on the day of embarkation. Many hotels in Bucharest also offer parking facilities and are well-connected to transfer services. At the port itself, a parking lot is available about 4.6 kilometers from the terminal, with costs for one week potentially amounting to around €105.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that your travel documents usually include a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the journey: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
