Returning to the ship

Marmaris is a picturesque harbor on the Turkish Riviera, featuring the modern Marmaris Cruise Port Terminal and primarily welcoming travelers from the DACH region by plane or ferry. Arrival is pleasant and straightforward thanks to the well-developed tourist infrastructure in the Muğla region.

Airplane

Dalaman Airport (DLM) serves as the primary hub for arrivals and is located approximately 95 kilometers from the port. During the summer season, there are numerous direct connections from major airports such as Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, or Vienna, allowing guests to reach the Turkish coast after a flight time of about three to four hours.

Transfer & Shuttle

From Dalaman Airport, you can comfortably reach the cruise terminal within about 90 minutes, with cruise lines often providing organized transfers for their guests. Additionally, the reliable Havaş airport buses offer a regular connection to the central bus station of Marmaris, from where taxis take you directly to the ship in a short drive.

Ferry & Pre-Cruise Hotel

An attractive option is to arrive via the Greek island of Rhodes, from where fast ferries and catamarans dock directly at the Marmaris Cruise Port in just 60 minutes of travel time. Thanks to the first-class hotels near the harbor, an overnight stay in advance is also recommended to enjoy the picturesque old town and board the ship relaxed the next morning.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the harbor accordingly and consider that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the journey: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
