Thanks to its elevated position and the famous "Stairway to Heaven," you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views over Bantry Bay and your cruise ship from the terraced gardens. The extensive grounds are ideal for a relaxed stroll and also feature a charming tearoom in the West Wing for a stylish break with tea and pastries. It is best to visit the estate in the morning to fully enjoy the morning tranquility in the gardens and return to the colorful streets of Bantry around midday for a leisurely stroll.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the port of Bantry is very simple thanks to the central location of the tender pier, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed end to your day in Ireland.

Tender Boats

Since cruise ships anchor in Bantry Bay, tender boats will bring you safely back to the ship from Bantry Pier in the town center. The pier is located in the immediate vicinity of the central Wolfe Tone Square and is easy to find at any time thanks to good signage and the presence of port staff.
