Airplane

Zumbi dos Palmares International Airport (MCZ) is located approximately 25 kilometers from the cruise terminal and serves as the most important gateway for travelers from the DACH region. Arrival usually takes place via the major Brazilian hubs such as São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro as well as via Lisbon and takes about 45 to 60 minutes from the airport to the port. The route leads via the well-developed BR-104 highway directly into the urban area of Maceió.

Transfer & Taxi

Numerous air-conditioned taxis and ride-sharing services are available at the airport and throughout the city for the journey to the ship. In addition, many cruise lines offer comfortable shuttle services that take passengers directly from the arrival terminal to the port entrance in Jaraguá. Thanks to the terminal infrastructure expanded in 2022, processing on site is quick and at the same time very service-oriented.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long flight duration and the time difference, arriving at least one day before embarkation is highly recommended. The popular hotel districts of Pajuçara and Ponta Verde are located only about 5 to 10 minutes' drive from the port and offer an excellent tourist infrastructure. A stay in advance also allows for a relaxed visit to the famous natural pools located just off the coast of Maceió.

The return journey to the Terminal de Passageiros in the Jaraguá district is very convenient and flexible thanks to the port's central location. Plan for a little extra time when traveling from the more distant beaches to ensure you reach the ship relaxed and on time.

You can find available taxis at any time at the famous Feirinha de Pajuçara as well as in front of the major hotels in Ponta Verde for a direct return trip to the ship. Additionally, apps like Uber or 99 work excellently in Maceió and offer you an affordable and safe way to get directly to the Terminal de Passageiros do Porto de Maceió.

Shuttle Buses and Port Bus

Most cruise lines provide shuttle buses that conveniently take you from the central handicraft market in Pajuçara back to the port area. Within the port, a short transfer with the port bus also ensures a direct route from the terminal building to your ship's respective berth.

On Foot from Jaraguá

From the adjacent historic district of Jaraguá, you can easily walk back to the port entrance in about 15 to 20 minutes. The path leads along the district's main streets and is easy to find thanks to good landmarks and the presence of security forces in the immediate vicinity of the port gate.
