Returning to the ship

The popular cruise port Balneário Camboriú on the Brazilian coast of Santa Catarina is mostly accessed via the modern terminal in the Barra Sul area and, thanks to its central location, is excellently connected to the regional transport network. Due to the distance, the journey for guests from Europe traditionally consists of a combination of a long-haul flight and a regional transfer directly to the ship or hotel.

Airplane

The nearest airport, Navegantes (NVG), is located only about 16 kilometers north and is served via the major hubs of São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Alternatively, Florianópolis International Airport (FLN) is located around 95 kilometers away, providing an even larger selection of connecting flights for travelers from the DACH region and is connected via well-developed roads.

Car & Transfer

The journey to the port is easy via the well-developed BR-101 highway, which is the most important north-south connection in the region and leads directly to the urban area. Secure parking is available on-site in the Barra Sul area as well as in the nearby Tedesco Marina; additionally, private shuttle services and taxis allow for a comfortable ride from the airport or hotel directly to the embarkation terminal.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long journey from Europe, we recommend staying overnight in one of the numerous hotels directly on Avenida Atlântica or near the port. A stay before the cruise offers the opportunity to adjust to the time difference and simultaneously enjoy the city's impressive skyline and beaches without time pressure before checking in at the Barra Sul terminal.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that your travel documents usually include a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually about one hour before the scheduled departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board no later than one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
