Additionally, many local hotels in Tournon and Tain offer attractive rates for cruise guests who wish to park their car safely during the trip and combine it with an overnight stay in advance.

Train

The Tain-l’Hermitage - Tournon railway station is perfectly connected to the regional rail network and is only a short walk across the Rhône bridge from the terminals. For travel from Switzerland or Germany, we recommend taking the TGV or ICE to the Valence TGV high-speed station, from where you can reach your ship in about 20 minutes by taxi or regional train.

Airplane

The nearest major airport is Lyon-Saint Exupéry (LYS), located about 95 kilometers away and regularly served by flights from Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich. From there, you can reach the port in about 75 minutes via organized transfer services or a rental car. Alternatively, there are comfortable train connections via Lyon-Part-Dieu station directly to Tain-l’Hermitage.

Château-Musée de Tournon-sur-Rhône

The imposing Château-Musée de Tournon-sur-Rhône is located only about five minutes' walk from the ship's pier and is perched on a striking granite rock directly above the river. A visit to the historic castle complex from the 10th century is especially worthwhile for the extensive panoramic terraces, which offer an incomparable view of the Rhône and the famous terraced vineyards of Tain-l’Hermitage. In the stylish rooms of the museum, you will also learn fascinating facts about river navigation and regional history, and thanks to the shaded courtyards, you will find a pleasantly cool retreat even on warm days. It is best to start your tour right after opening in the morning to capture the special light mood over the valley and then return to the ship relaxed after a short detour across the historic pedestrian bridge "Passerelle Marc Seguin".

Returning to the ship

On Foot
