Parking options for cruise guests can be found in various public parking garages in the city center, such as Q-Park Maasboulevard or Q-Park Roermondsepoort, which often offer long-term parking. It is recommended to check availability and conditions in advance.

Venlo station is an important hub with direct train connections from Germany, for example with the RE13 from Düsseldorf via Mönchengladbach, as well as within the Netherlands. From the station, you can easily reach most ship docks on the Maas on foot in about 10 to 15 minutes; alternatively, taxis are available.
Airplane
The nearest major international airport is Düsseldorf (DUS), about 60 kilometers away, which offers excellent connections from across the DACH region. From there, you can reach Venlo comfortably in around 50 minutes by direct train (RE13). Another option is Eindhoven Airport (EIN), about 50 kilometers away, which is primarily served by low-cost airlines and requires a connecting transfer by bus and train to Venlo. Transfers by taxi or rental car take about 45 to 60 minutes from both airports.

Maashopper (Passenger ship)
During the season, the Maashopper offers a convenient way to explore the region from the water. This passenger ferry connects the center of Venlo directly with sights such as the monastic village of Steyl or the famous castle gardens in Arcen.
Taxi
Official taxi stands are located a short distance from the dock as well as at the nearby Venlo station. Thanks to the excellent infrastructure, trips to the surrounding area or to destinations in the province of Limburg are organized quickly and easily.

Historic Old Town & Maasboulevard

The way back to the berth at the Maaskade is particularly easy thanks to the central location of the pier and can be wonderfully combined with a final stroll through the charming old town.
On Foot
From the central market square Oude Markt or the popular shopping street Vleesstraat, you can walk directly back to the waterfront in about 5 to 10 minutes. The Maaskade is excellently signposted and, thanks to the open design of the city harbor, you can always keep your ship in sight during the short walk through the pedestrian zone.
Taxi
Should you prefer a set of wheels after an extensive excursion, you will find taxi ranks directly at Venlo station as well as at the central square in front of the Theater De Maaspoort. Additionally, you can easily have a taxi called for you at the reception of the Limburgs Museum or at the major hotels on the edge of the city center, which will bring you safely to the ship within a few minutes.
Public Transport
The central bus station and Venlo station are just a few minutes' walk from the harbor and provide an ideal connection for those returning from the region. Thanks to the regular connections of the Arriva buses, you can get back to the city center from the surrounding area on time and reach the Maaskade from there via a short, level path directly along the water.
