Arrival at the remote cruise port of Porto da Casa on Corvo, the smallest island of the Azores, is primarily via flight connections and ferries. The port is directly connected to the small village of Vila do Corvo and the island's airport, guaranteeing short distances for all passengers.

Airplane

Travelers from the DACH region usually reach Corvo with at least one stopover. First, you fly to one of the larger Azores airports, such as Ponta Delgada (PDL) on São Miguel or Horta (HOR) on Faial. From there, SATA Air Açores offers direct flights to Aeródromo do Corvo (CVU). The flight time from Flores (FLW) is around 20 minutes, from Horta (HOR) about 50 minutes, and from Ponta Delgada (PDL) approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Corvo Airport (CVU) is located only about 100 meters from the port of Porto da Casa, allowing for a very convenient and short transfer.

Ferry

For arrival from the neighboring island of Flores, a picturesque ferry connection is available. Atlantico Line operates regular ferry services between Santa Cruz das Flores on Flores and Vila do Corvo, with the crossing taking about 40 to 55 minutes. The ferry pier is located directly at Porto da Casa. Early online booking of tickets is recommended, especially during the high season, to ensure a smooth process.

Pre-cruise Stay & Local Transfer

Due to often changeable weather conditions and the associated possibility of flight or ferry schedule changes, a pre-cruise stay of at least one night on a larger Azores island, such as Flores or São Miguel, is strongly advised. This ensures a relaxed start to your cruise from Porto da Casa. On Corvo itself, there are no public buses or classic taxi services. Instead, local van services are available upon the arrival of planes and ferries to transport visitors, if necessary, across the short distance between the airport/port and the village of Vila do Corvo. Porto da Casa port is only 50 meters from the village of Vila do Corvo, making many destinations easily accessible on foot.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that your travel documents will usually provide you with a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your arrival at the port and consider that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
