Returning to the ship

Coron in the Philippines is a breathtaking island paradise that is usually visited by cruise ships as a tender port. The ships anchor in the picturesque Coron Bay, from where guests are taken by tender boats to the centrally located Coron Town Pier (also called Lualhati Park Pier). The port is an ideal starting point for island hopping and exploring the unique nature.

Airplane

The most comfortable and fastest way to travel to Coron for guests from the DACH region is by plane via Manila (MNL) to Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU), also known as Busuanga Airport. Airlines such as Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines offer regular direct flights from Manila to Busuanga, which take about one hour. The USU airport is located around 22 kilometers from Coron Town Pier. Given the long journey from Europe, a night's stay in Manila or directly in Coron before the cruise is recommended.

Transfer & Shuttle

From Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU), you can easily reach Coron Town by shared minivan or taxi. Minivans are an affordable option and take about 40 minutes for the journey, costing around 110-240 PHP. Taxis are faster with a travel time of around 22 minutes, but more expensive (approx. 370-440 PHP). Numerous local providers as well as online platforms also offer shared or private shuttle services, enabling a smooth transfer to your hotel or directly to the pier.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Arriving in Coron the day before embarkation is highly recommended in order to start your cruise experience relaxed and to cushion potential flight delays. Choosing a pre-cruise hotel in Coron Town also offers the opportunity to get used to the time difference and explore the charming town in advance. Coron Town is compact and walkable, with many restaurants, souvenir shops, and dive schools in the immediate vicinity of the pier. Since Coron is a tender port and the transfer by tender boat to the ship can take time, an overnight stay on site ensures a punctual and stress-free embarkation.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always check the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times can change at short notice.
