Returning to the ship

The idyllic island of Korčula in southern Dalmatia is easily accessible thanks to the modern Pelješac Bridge and excellent connections to Croatian coastal cities. Depending on their size, cruise ships use either the berths directly at the historic Old Town or the terminal in the port of Dominče, located about two kilometers away.

Airplane

Arrival from the DACH region is via the international airports of Dubrovnik (DBV) or Split (SPU), which are served directly from many major cities. From Dubrovnik Airport, you can reach the island by shuttle transfer or rental car via the Pelješac Bridge in about two hours, while regular catamaran connections from Split allow for a comfortable crossing in around three hours directly to the port of Korčula.

Car & Ferry

Via the Croatian A1 highway, you can quickly travel south to the Ploče exit and from there drive over the Pelješac Bridge to Orebić on the Pelješac peninsula. Car ferries operate frequently from Orebić, taking you to the port of Dominče in just 15 minutes, with guarded long-term parking for cruise guests available in the immediate vicinity of the terminal as well as in the city center.

Korčula Old Town

Lumbarda

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the pier on the island of Korčula is very comfortable and safe thanks to the central location of the Old Town. You can reach your ship at any time within a few minutes while enjoying the view of the crystal-clear waters of the Croatian Adriatic.

Taxi and Public Bus

The central taxi stand is located directly at the bus station (Autobusni kolodvor Korčula), not far from the Land Gate to the historic Old Town. From here, you can easily return to the port and also find public buses that return at regular intervals from the surrounding villages and beaches, such as Lumbarda, directly to the town center.

Water Taxi

If you have spent the day on one of the idyllic neighboring islands like Badija or Vrnik, water taxis will bring you directly back to the town's harbor basin. The departure points are easily recognizable at the prominent jetties of the swimming islands, and the short travel times allow for a punctual return right near the docking berths.

On Foot

Since cruise ships usually dock directly at the Old Town pier or tender boats arrive in the center, walking back is the simplest option. You can orient yourself quite relaxedly by the prominent fortress walls and find the direct way back to your ship within a few minutes via the well-lit waterfront promenades.
