Returning to the ship

Dravuni Island is an idyllic, untouched port of call in Fiji, which is accessed by cruise ships via tender boat and has no direct port facilities or road connections. Travelers from the DACH region therefore reach Fiji by plane and usually embark from one of the main ports on the main island of Viti Levu, mostly from Port Denarau. Due to the long flight time, an early arrival with an overnight stay in advance is recommended.

Airplane

Nadi International Airport (NAN) on Viti Levu is the most important international hub for your journey to Fiji. Direct flights from the DACH region are not common; the journey usually includes at least one stopover, for example in Asia, Australia, or the USA, and often takes a total of over 20 hours. It is advisable to plan sufficient time for the journey and not to schedule the trip too close to the embarkation date.

Transfer to the Embarkation Port

From Nadi International Airport (NAN), you can easily reach the primary embarkation port, Port Denarau. The distance is only about 10 to 14 kilometers, and the journey takes about 16 to 25 minutes depending on the traffic situation. Numerous transfer options are available to you: taxis are available directly at the airport, and various shuttle services as well as private transfer providers will also bring you quickly and comfortably to your hotel or directly to the Port Denarau Marina.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

An overnight stay in a hotel in the Nadi region or on Denarau Island before your cruise is highly recommended due to the long journey and the time difference. Denarau Island itself offers a variety of luxurious resorts and hotels that allow for relaxed acclimatization and simultaneously serve as an ideal starting point for the short transfer to the Port Denarau Marina. Many of these hotels also offer their own transfer services.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination area - is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
