Official taxis of the Jamaica Union of Travellers Association wait for you directly at the port exit and are recognizable by their special credentials. These licensed drivers will take you safely to more distant destinations such as Dunn’s River Falls and also offer private tours across the island.
Route Taxis
For an authentic and inexpensive way to get around, Route Taxis are available, which function as shared taxis and follow a fixed route. You can easily recognize these vehicles by their red license plates and can conveniently hail them with a hand signal at the side of the road for a ride in the immediate area.

On Foot
The walk from the Island Village Mall or Ocho Rios Bay Beach to the terminal is short and leads along the busy Main Street directly to the port entrance. Thanks to the presence of tourism assistants and good signage, this route is safe and convenient for guests to navigate.
