Port information & tips for Alicante
Alicante is a radiant jewel on the Spanish Costa Blanca and impresses with a successful blend of Mediterranean joie de vivre and historical charm. The city welcomes visitors with a palm-lined seaside promenade, golden beaches, and a picturesque old town that invites you to linger. Absolute highlights include the Castillo de Santa Bárbara fortress towering over the city, the magnificent Explanada de España promenade with its characteristic mosaics, and the charming Barrio de Santa Cruz district. Cruise ships dock at the modern Terminal de Cruceros de Alicante at Muelle 14, from where the vibrant city center and the Postiguet city beach are easily accessible in about 15 to 20 minutes on foot thanks to the central location.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that your travel documents usually include a fixed time slot for check-in, which is mandatory for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port and take into account that the latest embarkation time—depending on the cruise line and destination—is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
The following also applies during the voyage: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements as well as the notices on board, as mooring and departure times may change at short notice.
