Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). In the evening, you can enjoy the atmosphere in one of the bars or clubs, be impressed by the various shows, watch a film under the open sky by the pool, sing karaoke or show off your skills at bingo.
Carnival Encounter Children
The Carnival Encounter offers a varied programme for children and young people on board. In age-appropriate groups, children can take part in various sea-themed activities at ‘Camp Ocean’. Readings, parades and other events on the theme of ‘Dr Seuss’ also take place regularly on board, involving various characters from ‘The Cat in the Hat’ or ‘The Lorax’. Film evenings, craft sessions and dance parties are of course also a must and are also offered for almost all age groups. Teenagers can join the ‘Circle “C”’ (12-14) or the ‘Club O2’ (15-17) and take part in various activities with their peers or simply hang out together.
