Important information for this voyage (udpate: 15th February 2022):

• • Online registrations for entries required: For cruises from/to Italy, the Passenger Locator Form is required for each guest, the same regulations are valid for Greece. And for cuises from/to Dominican Republic, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Brazil.

• • Web check-in and health questionnaire: The web check-in opens directly after the booking confirmation. The health questionnaire must be filled in at earliest 72 hours prior departure. Please arrive at the cruise terminal within your assigned check-in time to speed up test and embarkation procedures. In addition to that, every guest needs to get a COVID 19 insurance.

• • Orient:
    Please note, that all guests being 2 Years and older need to undergo a PCR test at the arrival at the Dubai airport. The result will reach you via Mail or SMS. All guests aged 12 years and older must furnish proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (second dose at least 14 days prior departure) via the digital EU COVID certificate or the national (in Germany: yellow) vaccination pass. The only exception are children under 12 years for whom a medical examination will be carried out upon embarkation. The vaccinations of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Sputnik as well as mixed vaccinations are accepted. Guests being 11 years or younger can embark without being vaccinated, but need to participate on an organzied shore excursion by Costa.

• • Caribbean:
    All guests aged 12 years and older must furnish proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (second dose at least 14 days prior departure) via the digital EU COVID certificate or the national (in Germany: yellow) vaccination pass. Additionally, a PCR test (max. 72 hours prior departure) and an antigen rapid test (max. 24 hours prior departure) are required. Guests with a flight package booked through Costa Cruises can carry out the complimentary antigen rapid test at the airport (if this service is available). Non-vaccinated children cannot join the cruise. The vaccinations of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson as well as mixed vaccinations are accepted.

• • South America:
    All guests aged 12 years and older must furnish proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (second dose at least 14 days prior departure) via the digital EU COVID certificate or the national (in Germany: yellow) vaccination pass. The from the WHO certified vaccinations will be accepted (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, J&J, Sinovac, Sinopharm, ...). The Sputnik vaccination won't be accepted. Caution: Guests being 60 years and older need to have gotten the third vaccination (booster), if the second is older than 6 months. The third dose needs to be 15 days old at the embarkation day.  In addition to that you will need a negative PCR test /2 years and older) which is not older than 72 hours prior entering Brazil. Furthermore, a negative antigen rapid test is required (for guests being 6 years and older) within 24 hours prior entering your destination or prior the flight if you have booked a flight package from Costa.

• • During the cruise: All guests need to measure their temperature every day until 8 pm via the automatic devices located in the various areas of the ship. On cruises in the Caribbean an antigen rapid will be carried out during and at the end of the voyage, the information for Orient and South America cruises are not available yet.

• • Shore leave: You have the opportunity to go ashore on your own if the situation in the visited countries, that are part of the cruise, permits individual shore leaves. In addition for oriental cruises: Guests travelling with children under 11 years need to choose a shore excursion from Costa Cruises to leave the ship. In Oman and Qatar you can go ashore with a Costa excursion and a negative rapid test.

• • Re-entry into Germany: When entering Germany from abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations. After a stay in a foreign high-risk or virus-variant area within the last 10 days before return, a special registration, verification and quarantine obligation must be observed (high-risk area: proof of vaccination/recovery exempts you from quarantine right after the upload of the proof, proof of testing reduces the minimum quarantine to 5 days, quarantine automatically ends after the fifth day following entry into Germany for children between 6-12 years). Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
    
    

• Recommendation: Pandemic-related changes of test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.

Note on pre-existing conditions:: Due to an increased risk of a severe course of a COVID-19 infection, people with pre-existing conditions such as

• severe/chronic respiratory insufficiencies (e.g. oxygen demand or respiratory support)
• Immunosuppression (e.g. related to an organ transplant, chemotherapy, or in other cases where people are taking meds that suppress the immune system, such as cortisone)

Changes after confirming the booking: Please note that Costa Cruises can levy a charge for any changes (e.g. name, birth date, gender) after the confirmed booking according to the terms and conditions.
