Important information for this voyage (Update: 18th April 2023):
- Web check-in, arrival time & health questionnaire: Travellers are requested to complete the online check-in at least three days prior to the cruise and to urgently adhere to the check-in time indicated on the SetSail pass. The health questionnaire is only available on the Royal Caribbean app and must be completed before the cruise begins.
- COVID-19 vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required, with a few exceptions. The cruise line asks passengers to provide their vaccination status at check-in. The COVID-19 vaccination card is recommended for fully vaccinated guests, as local authorities and companies may ask guests to present their vaccination card in some ports. Guests require COVID-19 vaccination for the following cruises: for cruises from/to Australia, transatlantic and transpacific cruises and cruises from Hawaii to Vancouver all guests 12 years of age and older require full COVID-19 vaccination protection (last dose at least 14 days prior to departure). Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination protection can be presented both digitally, e.g. digital EU COVID-19 certificate, or in paper form and must be carried throughout the cruise. Accepted vaccines are BioNTech/Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna (Spikevax), Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Novavax (Nuvaxovid). The last vaccination dose must not have been given more than 9 months ago, unless a booster vaccination is available. Booster vaccinations are strongly recommended. Vaccination exemptions must be requested from the shipping company at least 30 days before the start of the journey.
- Testing prior to the cruise/at the port terminal:
- Voyages from the USA and Caribbean calling at Columbia: All guests aged 18 and over who are not fully vaccinated require proof of a negative rapid antigen test (max. 48 hours old) or PCR test (max. 72 hours old) at embarkation.
- Transpacific voyages: All guests 2 years of age and older require proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test or rapid antigen test) at embarkation that is no more than 48 hours old. For guests who are not fully vaccinated, the COVID-19 test must be administered by a health care professional. For fully vaccinated guests, the COVID-19 test may also be conducted under live video monitoring with a telehealth professional at home.
- Voyages from/to Australia: All guests aged 2 years and over require proof of a negative COVID-19 test no more than 24 hours old (rapid antigen test) or 48 hours old (PCR test) at embarkation.
- All other voyages: There are currently no more COVID-19 test determinations for all other travel.
- Testing during the cruise:: If the performance of further COVID-19 tests is necessary due to official regulations and/or medical requirements on board, these will be performed accordingly. Further information will be provided during your voyage.
- Mouth and nose protection:: On board, the wearing of a mouth and nose protection is voluntary for vaccinated guests. For unvaccinated guests, the wearing of a mouth and nose protection is recommended. Subject to necessary changes on board. Please note that in some regions masks are compulsory on public transport, buses and other areas. Therefore, always carry a sufficient number of medical masks and FFP2 masks.
- Shore excursions::At the current time, individual shore excursions are possible in most ports regardless of vaccination status (additional testing may be required) according to local conditions, subject to last-minute changes in destinations. In some ports, only guests who are fully vaccinated are allowed to go ashore. In some ports, guests are currently required to book a shore excursion to go ashore. These excursions can be booked in advance via Cruise Planner or on board via the Royal Caribbean app.
- Recommendation: Due to the pandemic, the hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may change at short notice before the start of the journey. We therefore recommend that you check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in good time before your trip (Royal Caribbean).
