Important information for this voyage (Update: 17th May 2023):
- Web check-in, health questionnaire & COVID-19 insurance: From 14 days prior to embarkation you can complete your web check-in including the short health questionnaire and download the tickets. For cruises with embarkation in Doha (Qatar), COVID-19 insurance is mandatory.
- Basic embarkation requirement (majority of trips): At the current time, there is no obligation to provide proof of a vaccination, recovery from COVID-19 or test certificate for the majority of voyages. In addition, please urgently check the individual country-specific requirements, which may differ from the cruise line guidelines, before starting your trip. Eceptions:
- South America: All guests 3 years of age and older on cruises of 5 days or less (who do not have at least a 2-dose COVID-19 vaccination or 1 dose with Johnson & Johnson) or all guests 3 years of age and older on cruises of more than 6 days require a certified antigen rapid test or RT-PCR test done no more than 24 hours before embarkation.

- Shore excursions: Individual shore excursions are currently possible according to local conditions, subject to short-term changes in the destinations.
- Mouth and nose protection: Wearing medical or FFP2 masks is no longer mandatory on board, but recommended. Mandatory mouth and nose protection remains during the first 7 days of travel on transatlantic cruises and on the world cruise. Subject to necessary changes on board.
- Recommendation: Pandemic-related changes of hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. Some countries require an online registration prior entry, the time limits and regulations vary. We recommend checking the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
Note on pre-existing conditions:: Due to an increased risk of a severe course of a COVID-19 infection, people with pre-existing conditions such as
- severe/chronic respiratory insufficiencies (e.g. oxygen demand or respiratory support)
- Immunosuppression (e.g. related to an organ transplant, chemotherapy, or in other cases where people are taking meds that suppress the immune system, such as cortisone)
cannot book a cruise at the moment.
