TUI Cruises already includes many services in the cruise price:
- Food: In selected restaurants and bars
- Beverages: A big variety of drinks in all bars and lounges with soft drinks, beer, sparkling wine, a selection of wine, cocktails & long drinks, spirits, coffee and much more. Beverages of the minibar are included when booking a suite/junior suite.
- Sport: Access to the SPA & Meer area and sauna
- Tips are not expected by the crew.
Available for a surcharge: specialty dining, shore excursions, wellness treatments, champagne and premium wine.
Important information for this voyage (Update: 10th May 2022):
- High-risk and virus-variant areas & previous stays: If you have stayed in an international high-risk area (outside Germany, Austria and Switzerland) within 14 days before the start of your journey, a passenger safety survey and another COVID-19 tests may be carried out in the port terminal. A previous stay in a virus variant area within 14 days prio the start of your journey always leads to exclusion from the cruise. Another important advice in case of the individual journey to the port and a prior stay: In case of increasing case numbers or a changed risk assessment, a prior stay may possibly also lead to exclusion from the cruise. TUI Cruises therefore recommends planning your individual stay on site only after your cruise.
- Entry registrations: E.g. Israel.
- Web check-in, arrival time slot & health questionnaire: Please complete the web check-in in time and select your desired arrival window (only for individual arrival). In addition, answer the digital health questionnaire from 7 days before departure and confirm the information the day before within the last 24 hours before your departure.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination & booster required:
- All guests 12 years of age and older must have a full COVID-19 vaccination (second dose at least 14 full days prior to departure; or if you have received 1 dosing of Johnson & Johnson 21 full days for Norway and 28 full days for Caribbean/France/French Antilles/Cape Verde/Portugal) which needs to be proven with the EU digital COVID certificate (to be carried throughout the voyage and at each shore visit with you). The basic immunization with Johnson & Johnson is only been given, when a second vaccination with an mRNA vaccine (Comirnaty/BioNtech/Pfizer oder Spikevax/Moderna) has been completed. A maximum of 3 months old recovery is accepted in combination with a vaccination dose (not older than 3 months); for the Caribbean, fully from COVID-19 recovered persons (not more than 3 months ago) are only considered fully vaccinated if they are vaccinated with Johnson&Johnson (1 dose) or a dual vaccination of European Medicines Agency approved vaccines. All guests aged 18 years older whose basic immunization (second dose or Johnson & Johnson 1 dose) was given longer than 3 months pior the end of the cruise additionally require the booster vaccination. You should receive the booster vaccination 1 week prior the cruise ideally. If the basic immunization has not been given no longer than 14 full days and max. 3 months, the booster vaccination is not required. If guests have the full COVID-19 vaccination and also recovered from COVID-19 no longer than 3 months prior the end of the cruise, it is also accepted as booster; the date of the positive PCR test result is taken into account for that.
- Accepted vaccines are all EMA approved vaccines such as Comirnaty/BioNtech/Pfizer, Spikevax/Moderna, COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen/Johnson & Johnson and Vaxzevria from AstraZeneca; mixed vaccines combinations are also accepted.
- Additional COVID-19 tests prior departure mandatory:
- Cruises within Europe: All guests aged 4 years and older require a certified antigen rapid test (max. 72-48 hours prior the cruise check-in) as well as a second certified antigen rapid test that has been carried out on the day of arrival (max. 24 hours prior entry).
- Caribbean (also guests from/to Bremerhaven): All guests aged 2 years and older must furnish proof of a standard PCR test (RT-PCR) no older than 72-48 hours prior the arrival time slot (with TUI Cruises flight package: flight arrival in the Caribbean). Additionally, all guests aged 4 years and older need a certified antigen rapid test on the day of travel (prior flight/voyage departure, not older than 24 hours prior the check-in).
- COVID-19 tests during the voyage: In some cases, additional (free) testing may be required at short notice during your trip, further details will be provided on board if required.
- Shore excursions: At the moment, individual shore excursions are allowed in most destinations, but this may change at short notice depending on the situation in the destinations and the regulations by the local authorities. For individual shore leave in Malta, non-vaccinated children between 4 and 11 years old need a PCR test no older than 72 hours.
- Re-entry into Germany: When entering Germany from abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the
Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations. At the end of your cruise, a antigen rapid test can be carried out on request or depending on official requirements on site for a cost contribution of 25 € per person. After a stay in a foreign high-risk or virus-variant area within the last 10 days before return, a special registration, verification and quarantine obligation must be observed (high-risk area: proof of vaccination/recovery exempts you from quarantine right after the upload of the proof, proof of testing reduces the minimum quarantine to 5 days, quarantine automatically ends after the fifth day following entry into Germany for children between 6-12 years). Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
- Recommendation: Pandemic-related changes of test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. Some countries require an online registration prior entry, the time limits and regulations vary. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
TUI Cruises shore excursions: Please note that the shore excursions are operated by local agencies. Most of the shore excursions take place in German. Depending on the destination and the guide it is possible that the shore excursions take place in English. The shore excursion team aboard is glad to give you further information.
Please note that the main onboard language is German, and that there is no special program for English speaking guests.
