Important information for this voyage (Update: 12th August 2022):
- Entry registration required: Among others Puerto Rico (entry by plane, further COVID tests may be necessary).
- Web check-in, arrival time & health questionnaire: All travellers should respect the check-in time indicated on the SetSail Pass. The health questionnaire is available in the Royal Caribbean App and must be completed at least 24 hours before departure. Only for voyages on Harmony of the Seas with embarkation in Civitavecchia, the health questionnaire will only be completed during embarkation in port and is not available in advance in the Royal Caribbean App.
- Fully vaccinated: All guests 12 years and above require a full COVID-19 vaccination (last dose at least 14 days prior to departure). For transatlantic cruises departing from the USA, all guests 5 years of age and older require full COVID-19 vaccination protection (last dose at least 14 days prior to departure). Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination protection can be presented both digitally, e.g. digital EU COVID-19 certificate, or in paper form and must be carried throughout the cruise. Accepted vaccines are BioNTech/Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna (Spikevax), Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), AstraZeneca/Covishield (Vaxzevria), Sinopharm (Vero Cell), Sinovac, Covaxin and Novavax (Covovax/Nuvaxovid). Cross-vaccination with at least one dose of BioNTech/Pfizer (Comirnaty) or Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine and an interval of at least 28 days between doses and the last dose at least 14 days before departure will be accepted. Certificate of recovery is not sufficient and will not be accepted. Booster vaccinations are strongly recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at least 7 days prior to embarkation. Guests who are eligible for booster vaccination but have not yet received one may be required to have additional COVID-19 testing on board for a fee. Vaccination exemptions must be requested from the cruise line at least 30 days prior to departure.
- COVID-19 vaccination not required: For voyages in Europe and for voyages starting in Los Angeles, Galveston or New Orleans, guests will no longer require COVID-19 vaccination from 5th September 2022. The cruise line nevertheless asks passengers to disclose their vaccination status. If required by the countries of call, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 testing may be required for shore leave.
- Testing prior to the cruise/at the port terminal: All guests aged 12 and above require proof of a certified negative COVID-19 test result (antigen test or PCR test) for cruises with minimum 6 nights and starting in USA that is max. 3 days old at the time of embarkation. Unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years require proof of a certified negative PCR test result for all cruise lengths that is max. 3 days and min. 1 day old at the time of embarkation. Furthermore, a free COVID-19 test will be carried out on unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years during embarkation.
For journeys from/to the following ports, different regulations apply:- Travel from/to Bridgetown: All vaccinated guests aged 5 years and above require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, max. 1 day or 3 days old respectively. Unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years require proof of a certified negative PCR test, max. 3 days old.
- Travel from/to Canada: All vaccinated guests require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, max. 2 days old. Unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years require proof of a certified negative PCR test, which must be min. 1 day and max. 3 days old.
- Travel from/to Amsterdam: All vaccinated guests require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, max. 2 days old. Unvaccinated guests aged 2 years and above require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, which must not be older than 1 day.
- Journeys from/to Spain, Italy, Haifa, Copenhagen or Southampton: All guests who have already received their booster vaccination require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test at embarkation, which must not be older than 2 days. All guests who have completed their basic immunisation but have not received a booster vaccination, as well as unvaccinated children, require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test at embarkation, which must not be older than 1 day.
- Voyages from Piraeus (Athens): All guests aged 2 years and above require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test at embarkation, which must not be more than 2 days old.
- Travelling from/to Singapore: All guests require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test carried out on the day of embarkation.
- Travel from/to Bridgetown: All vaccinated guests aged 5 years and above require proof of a certified negative rapid antigen test or PCR test, max. 1 day or 3 days old respectively. Unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years require proof of a certified negative PCR test, max. 3 days old.
- Testing during the cruise: If further COVID-19 tests are required for the visit to the countries of call, these will be offered free of charge on board. On voyages of 5 nights or longer, a free COVID-19 test (antigen test) will be conducted on the day before disembarkation for unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years. For voyages of 10 nights or longer, additional COVID-19 tests may be conducted on board for all guests, if applicable.
- Shore excursions: At this time, individual shore excursions are available in most ports. In Bridgetown (Barbados), Castries (St. Lucia), and Kingstown (St. Vincent), until further notice, shore excursions are only possible in the form of a shore excursion arranged by Royal Caribbean or as a government approved tour by a local provider. For families with unvaccinated children, shore excursions in Belize and St. John's (Antigua) are only available through Royal Caribbean until further notice. In Grand Cayman, shore leave is generally not permitted for unvaccinated guests over the age of 12, so those guests will spend their day on board.
- Mouth and nose protection: On board, the wearing of a mouth and nose protection is optional for vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests over 12 years of age must wear mouth and nose protection in all indoor areas except while consuming beverages or food. For voyages from/to Singapore, the wearing of a mouth and nose protection is mandatory for all guests aged 6 years and above. Subject to any necessary changes on board.
- Re-entry into Germany: When entering Germany from abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have no longer an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the
Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations since 1st June 2022. After a stay in a foreign virus-variant area within the last 10 days before return, a special registration, verification and quarantine obligation must be observed. Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
- Recommendation: Due to the pandemic, the hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may change at short notice before the start of the journey. We therefore recommend that you check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in good time before your trip (Royal Caribbean).
