Important information for your upcoming voyage (Update: 24th March 2022):

• Full COVID-19 vaccination required: All guests 12 years of age and older (Norwegian Cruise Line) or all guests (Oceania Cruises & Regent Seven Seas Cruises) must have full vaccination coverage (= have received the full brand vaccination protocol of one vaccine brand or two doses of a mixed vaccine combination) at least 2 weeks prior to departure. COVID-19 recovery with one vaccine dose (AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac) will not be accepted. Proof of vaccination must be shown at embarkation. Many countries, especially in Europa, require the booster vaccination after a certain time of the full basic vaccination for the entry. Unvaccinated children under 12 years of age are welcome back on board (Norwegian Cruise Line only); please check local regulations and/or travel restrictions in each destination.
  
  
• Accepted vaccines: Any U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), European Medicines Agency (EMA), or World Health Organization (WHO) authorized single brand vaccination protocol which has been given ≥ 2 weeks after receiving the lsat dose will be accepted (e.g. J&J Janssen, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaxzevria, Novavax, Covovax, Sinopharm, Sinovac). Sputnik V is not accepted. A mixed vaccination combination of two doses of an FDA approved/authorized or WHO Emergency Use Listed (EUL) COVID-19 two-dose series with a minimum interval of 17 days will be accepted. Individuals receiving a Janssen COVID-19 vaccine before or after another COVID-19 vaccine are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 2 weeks after receipt of the single dose of the Janssen vaccine. Children aged 5-17 onboard Norwegian Cruise Line departures will be considered fully vaccinated if they have received and completed the full vaccination protocol at least two weeks after receiving the last dose exclusively from Pfizer-BioNTech. Vaccines administered as part of clinical trials are generally not accepted.
  
  
• COVID-19 tests prior departure: All guests will be required to provide proof of a certified COVID-19 antigen or PCR test which has been carried out max. 2 calendar days hours prior embarkation to/from US ports or max. 3 calendar days to/from all other ports. Alternatively, the test can be carried in the port terminal for a charge of 99 $ per person. Unvaccinated children under 12 years of age on Norwegian Cruise Line sailings from/to U.S. ports are subject to PCR testing prior to departure (max. 3 calendar days prior to embarkation) and will be subject to additional COVID-19 testing at embarkation and disembarkation, free of charge. However, requirements may vary for specific sailings and will be announced as information becomes available.
  
  
• COVID-19 tests during the cruise (Norwegian Cruise Line): Depending on country requirements, additional COVID-19 testing may be carried out during the cruise.
  
  
• Shore leave: Based on the regulations of local authorities, shore leave might only be possible with an organized tour by Norwegian Cruise Line under some circumstances.
  
  
• Re-entry into Germany: When entering Germany from abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations. After a stay in a foreign high-risk or virus-variant area within the last 10 days before return, a special registration, verification and quarantine obligation must be observed (high-risk area: proof of vaccination/recovery exempts you from quarantine right after the upload of the proof, proof of testing reduces the minimum quarantine to 5 days, quarantine automatically ends after the fifth day following entry into Germany for children between 6-12 years). Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
  
  
• Recommendation: Pandemic-related changes of test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. Some countries require an online registration prior entry, the time limits and regulations vary. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
