Important information for this voyage (Update: 17th May 2022):

• Web check-in, arrival time & health questionnaire: The web check-in must be completed by each guest prior to embarkation. Up to 48 hours before embarkation, web check-in is possible via the cruise line's website. Alternatively, the cruise line recommends to complete the web check-in via the Celebrity Cruises app. In addition, all guests must indicate their planned arrival time at the terminal on the day of embarkation and complete a health questionnaire at least 24 hours before the beginning of the journey.
  
  
• Entry into Ecuador: All guests aged 3 years and above require a full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a certified negative PCR test result, which must be not older than 72 hours at the time of boarding the flight to Ecuador. In addition, a health questionnaire must be presented when boarding the plane to Ecuador. The government of Ecuador also requires travel health insurance including evacuation coverage for all travellers. If applicable, guests will be asked to provide proof of appropriate protection.
  
  
• Fully vaccinated: All guests aged 12 and above require a full COVID-19 vaccination (last dose at least 14 days prior to departure). Exceptions for unvaccinated guests 12 years and older must be requested in advance at the cruise line. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination protection can be presented either digitally or in paper form. Accepted vaccines are AstraZeneca, BioNTech/Pfizer (Comirnaty), Covaxin, Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), Moderna, Sinopharm and Sinovac. Mixed vaccines with an interval of at least 28 days between doses is accepted. Evidence of recovery is not sufficient and will not be accepted. Booster vaccinations are strongly recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at least 7 days prior to embarkation.
  
  
• Testing prior to the cruise/at the port terminal: For voyages up to and including 31st March 2022, all guests aged 12 and above require proof of a certified negative COVID-19 test (antigen test or PCR test) that is not older than 2 days at the time of embarkation. Guests who have booked their arrival/departure via the cruise line will additionally be tested free of charge in Quito before they take the flight to the Galapagos Islands. Guests arriving/departing individually will also be tested free of charge at embarkation in Baltra. Unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years require proof of a certified negative PCR test result, which must be maximum 3 days and minimum 1 day old at the time of embarkation. Furthermore, unvaccinated children aged 2-11 years will have a COVID-19 test carried out free of charge during embarkation and one day before disembarkation. Exemption for COVID-19 recovered geusts: Travelers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 within 90 days prior to travel and have completed a minimum 10-day quarantine are exempt from testing for boarding the cruise ship as long as they have a Certificate of Recovery and are asymptomatic. The Certificate of Recovery must be shown to the medical team upon arrival.
  
  
• Re-entry into Germany: When entering Germany from abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations. After a stay in a foreign high-risk or virus-variant area within the last 10 days before return, a special registration, verification and quarantine obligation must be observed (high-risk area: proof of vaccination/recovery exempts you from quarantine right after the upload of the proof, proof of testing reduces the minimum quarantine to 5 days, quarantine automatically ends after the fifth day following entry into Germany for children between 6-12 years). Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
