- Vaccinated guests: This cruise is only bookable for fully vaccinated persons who have received the last dose at least 14 days before departure. The vaccine must be approved by the CDC or the WHO and proof of this is required for embarkation. For this, Carnival asks you to confirm the fully vaccinated status with a vaccination certificate before the cruise and show the confirmation at the time of embarkation as follows:
- Original vaccination certificate from the country in which you have received the vaccination shot, e. g. U.S. CDC's Vaccination Record Card
- Name and birth date on the vaccination confirmation must be identical with the travel documents of the guest and show that the guest is fully vaccinated, meaning he received the last dose of vaccine at least 14 days prior to departure
Cross-vaccinations are not permitted by the CDC. In addition, Carnival requires a
Unvaccinated guests: Guests who are not old enough to be vaccinated or who are not allowed to be vaccinated for other reasons may only make up a certain percentage of the total occupancy. To do this, please register online and adhere to the test and mask requirements. Unvaccinated guests will be informed of their exemption within 14 days prior to departure as soon as the number of vaccinated guests has been determined. All non-vaccinated guests, including children under the age of 12, must present a PCR test prior to embarkation, performed between 72 and 24 hours prior to departure date. When entering the ship and within 24 hours before disembarkation, these guests are also tested again on cruises that last longer than five days. There is also a fee of 150 $ p. P. asks to cover the cost of the tests and health and safety examinations. Unvaccinated guests starting their cruise from Florida and Texas are required to provide proof of travel insurance coverage depending on the itinerary and requirements of the ports and destinations they call..
Tests before embarkation/at the terminal: Carnival requires a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen), which must not be older than 2 days, before embarkation. All non-vaccinated guests, including children under the age of 12, must present a PCR test prior to embarkation, performed between 72 and 24 hours prior to departure date. Testing at the terminal is not possible.
Mouth and nose protection: Carnival strongly recommends that all guests wear face masks in the indoor public areas, especially unvaccinated guests and children under the age of 12, except when eating and drinking. All guests aged 2 and over must wear face masks in the elevators and designated indoor public areas, in all shops and in the casino, except when eating and drinking. In the main restaurants and in the Lido buffet restaurant area, and occasionally in other areas where there are large numbers of guests, passengers must wear face masks before taking their seats. Face masks are mandatory for embarkation and disembarkation in the terminal and should also be worn on board during the disembarkation process.
Re-entry into Germany: For the re-entry into Germany after being abroad, all travelers aged 12 years and older have an obligation to furnish proof of negative testing based on the Ordinance on Coronavirus Entry Regulations that is currently set until 10th November 2021. Persons that spent time in a high-risk area or area of variants observe special obligations to register, furnish proof and self-isolate (high-risk area: proof of vaccination/recovery exempts you from quarantine right after the upload of the proof, proof of testing reduces the minimum quarantine to 5 days, quarantine automatically ends after the fifth day following entry into Germany for children under 12 years). Please kindly check the current regulations prior your trip.
Recommendation: Pandemic-related changes of test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
