About MSC Poesia
The MSC Poesia, a Musica-class ship, entered service in April 2008. The MSC Poesia offers At 293.80 length the ship can accommodate 2,550 passengers (with double occupancy). Admire the spectacular waterfall in the foyer of MSC Poesia and enjoy a soothing break in the Zen Garden. The public areas are modern, colorful and pompous. The staterooms are more classic, but also decorated with colorful accents. Family cruises are particularly popular with the MSC Poesia.
About MSC Cruises
Welcome aboard MSC Cruises! The cruise line was founded in 1970 and is the cruise division of the container shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company. MSC Cruises is the world's largest privately family-owned cruise line (Aponte family) and has many years of expertise on the seven seas. The Aponte family has also established an independent charitable organisation, the MSC Foundation, which is also present on board and supports many humanitarian and environmental projects.

MSC Poesia Sustainability
MSC Cruises has set itself the long-term goal of achieving zero emissions in all its operations. In order to already avoid as many emissions as possible, the MSC Poesia has been equipped with a shore power connection and can therefore be connected to a shore power system in all ports.
MSC Poesia Staterooms
The staterooms are modern and comfortable and equipped with a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar, and safe.
The interior staterooms are approximately 14 sqm, the exterior staterooms approximately 16-17 sqm, and the balcony staterooms approximately 15-18 sqm.
Until mid-April 2026, you will find the Aurea Suite with approximately 26 sqm, and from 23rd April 2026, the popular MSC Yacht Club will be available on MSC Poesia. Look forward to the MSC Yacht Club interior staterooms, measuring approximately 20 sqm, and the larger suites with balconies, which start at 24 sqm plus balcony and offer plenty of space for your dream vacation and private retreats.
Atmosphere on board the MSC Poesia
On board the MSC Poesia, it's like landing in a modern and well-kept holiday hotel: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable staterooms and many entertainment options. Even at this relaxed and casual atmosphere, festive attire is recommended two nights a week in the main restaurants. Guests who like it even more casual can visit the buffet restaurant at this evenings where no dress code is expected.
MSC Poesia Restaurants, bars & lounges
The cuisine on the MSC Poesia is good and tasty, offering variety and fresh dishes so that every guest on board can find something to suit them. Drinks are available for an extra charge or you can take advantage of a drinks package.
The following restaurants are included in the price:
- Villa Pompeiana & L'Obelisco (buffet restaurant): The restaurants await you with a variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet and impress with their Mediterranean diversity.
- Le Fontane (main restaurant): Taste freshly prepared dishes in an elegant ambience.
- Il Palladio (main restaurant): Enjoy fine cuisine in the à la carte restaurant.
- From 23rd April 2026 MSC Yacht Club Restaurant: MSC Yacht Club guests enjoy refined menus, experienced kitchen staff, and sommelier service in this exclusive restaurant.
There is a surcharge for the following speciality restaurants:
- Kaito Sushi Bar (from April 2026 renovated): Taste Japanese specialities such as exquisite sushi or soup.
- Butcher's Cut (new from April 2026): At this American-style steakhouse, you can look forward to first-class meat specialties, including beef from Meat by Linz and a large selection of juicy steaks with classic side dishes.
Enjoy fine wines or classic cocktails in one of the numerous bars and lounges (not included), for example in the Giada Bar or in the Pigalle Lounge, where you can also look forward to live music.
- All-Stars Sports Bar (new from April 2026): This sports bar serves snacks while you compete against each other in typical sports bar games or sit back with a drink and enjoy the lively atmosphere around you.
- Top Sail Lounge (new from April 2026): Exclusively for MSC Yacht Club guests
- Private sun deck with grill & bar (new from April 2026): Exclusively for MSC Yacht Club guests, with two whirlpools, chic cabanas, sun loungers, and casual outdoor dining
MSC Poesia Entertainment, sports and wellness
There are many ways to spend your holiday on board. The pool areas offer fun for the whole family, while the open-air cinema entices you with great films in the evenings.
For sporty guests, the large range of sports and fitness facilities leaves nothing to be desired: There is a state-of-the-art gym, a tennis court, a basketball court and a mini golf course at your disposal. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, then the Aurea Spa with steam bath, saunas and massages is the place for you.
The large "Carlo Felice" theatre invites you to enjoy great shows and programmes or try your luck at the Casino Royal.
MSC Poesia children
Childcare is also provided for your children: babies and toddlers between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology, a teen disco and a dinner organised exclusively for teenagers.
Our summary
The MSC Poesia is a modern ship for those who want variety, entertainment and a colorful on-board life. Even families feel very well. The price-performance ratio is good. We also recommend this ship to cruise liners who want to go on a big trip for the first time.
Tipps & Infos
Confirmation of stateroom numbers: Stateroom numbers are always confirmed by MSC Cruises under reserve, the cruise line reserves the right to change the stateroom after the booking.
MSC Voyages Club member numbers or vouchers: Please inform us about these within your reservation. The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.
Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay, debited from the on-board account after departure from the port
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port), debited from the on-board account the evening before the respective call and, in case of remaining in the port on board, refunded within 24 hours
Recommendation: Changes of the hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
