AIDAcara is part of AIDAselection. AIDAselection is a program which was presented for the first time in 2016. The program is characterized byfascinating itineraries, exclusive ports, individual entertainment and focusses on slow cruising. The ships AIDAaura, AIDAvita and AIDAmira belong to the AIDAselection program as well.

The extraordinary itineraries with the four ships include world cruises, repositioning cruises, Baltic Sea cruises and Norwegian Fjords cruises.

An adjustable air condition, a tv, a telephone, a hairdryer, a safe, bathrobes and life jackets for a case of emergency belong to the basic equipment of all staterooms. There are interior and oceanview staterooms for up to four travellers, balcony staterooms for maximum two people and modern junior and Premium Suites for up to 3 people on deck 7. The staterooms are furnished comfortably and in light colours. Besides, there are eight wheelchair accessible staterooms of categories MA and CA.

On board, guests of all ages feel comfortable. On the smaller ships of the fleet most of the passengers are couples or singles. Travellers appreciate the informal and friendly atmosphere. A varied daily program related to the travelled destinations as well as many sports activities offer different entertainment aboard. Although a lot of entertainment is offered, there is always a quiet place to relax while reading a good book or drinking a delicious cocktail as well.

The Calypso Restaurant with its terrace and the Markt Restaurant are buffet restaurants and opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Delicious dishes related to the travelled destinations are offered. For an extra charge one can try one of the menus in the Selection Restaurant. For this restaurant we recommend to make a reservation because it is very popular. In addition to the restaurants there are five bars at the outside and inside of the ship.

Several times per week shows with dancers, singers and acrobats of the AIDA Show Ensemble are presented in the theatre. At other days theme parties take place at the pool deck or in the Anytime Bar. Further entertainment highlights are presentations and readings about the ports and countries of the cruise given by special guests. The daily program includes different sports activities like classes, shuffleboard, dart and basketball as well. After a day full of new impressions one can relax perfectly in one of the saunas which are free of cost.

AIDAcara stayed in dry docks in 2016 and 2019. During the last stay from 5th to 23rd February 2019 the restaurants (Markt Restaurant, Calypso Restaurant and Selection Restaurant), staircases and floors were modernized and the suites were redesigned. The Body & Soul Spa was modernized as well and welcomes the guests for a great time of relaxation.
